Reporting to the Head of Overseas Operations – Jet2holidays, the General Manager – Resort Flight Check-In® (RFCI) will own the strategy, planning and delivery process for own resources to cover performance, forecasting and utilisation of people, product delivery, supplier quality, equipment and logistics to hit all company targets and deliver industry leading service.
You will be responsible for the research, implementation and development of new and existing RFCI destinations in line with company strategy. Responsible for the Customer Service Promise you will secure and manage budgets to deliver this with the support of the Head of Overseas Operations. You will also own the forecasting and planning while achieving operational flexibility and agility to respond to operational and environmental impacts and influences. Assisting in negotiations with airport authorities and 3rd party airline handlers to agree and establish robust service level agreements to ensure a smooth operation is vital to the success of this role. You will ensure delivery of an effective programme and make sure there is no compromise on service delivery and formulate recovery plans to mitigate any disruptions in service.
In addition, you will liaise with the Head of Ground Operations to establish robust, safe and efficient RFCI ground operations procedures, and with Marketing monitor the service communication to ensure consistency and accuracy of the customer message. You will be a role model for our Leadership Framework and lead and motivate a team that consistently strives to exceed expectations through consistent performance management and identification of individual and team training requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in a similar role, Tour Operator or Airline operational experience is essential, with proven experience in operational planning and or logistical experience and delivery meeting ambitious company targets. You will be highly numerate, have high attention to detail and have excellent communication and people management skills with a history of managing and developing remote teams and delivering high team performance. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Project Management and Jet2holidays resorts is also required.
The role will require frequent travel overseas which may include some weekends.
