The General Manager – Property is a hands on position, responsible for an expanding Jet2.com and Jet2holidays property portfolio, including acquisitions, developments and all legal and compliance processes, as well as the management of a small Team providing ongoing general day to day support and maintenance of our properties in the UK and Overseas.
In this exciting and challenging position, you will take the lead on key business property acquisition or development projects, including budgetary and CAPEX requirements and managing 3rd party designers to ensure we deliver capital projects to our users requirements. Managing relationships with key internal senior stakeholders including Directors, Heads of Departments and the Finance Team to ensure that actions have appropriate approvals and financial authorisation is key to the success of this role. You will also be responsible and accountable for the facilities and supplier management at all our properties in the UK and Overseas, including leased office space and other properties. Managing the Property Manager and General Practice Surveyor you will ensure the business is provided with advice on best value property solutions, Town and Country planning matters and the any other property estate matters.
In addition, you will negotiate and agree all property leases, ensuring they are renewed in a timely manner, negotiate commercial terms and work with our Legal Team and 3rd party suppliers to review all contracts in relation to our properties ensuring the business is mitigated from risk.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, looking after property lease negotiations and agreements including valuations on all property matters and be professionally qualified. You will be a skilled project manager, with strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of commercial landlord and tenant law. With a ‘can do’ attitude, excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills, you will be flexible and able to work at pace delivering to tight timescales in a constantly changing environment.
This role will require frequent travel which may include overseas travel and some weekends.
