Reporting to the Group Tax Manager the Group Tax Accountant’s primary role is to support the Group Tax Team with regard to all aspects of direct and indirect taxation and to ensure the correct, complete and timely delivery of all tax returns. You will work effectively with the wider business, to understand the inputs to returns and to help develop, and continually improve, the group’s tax reporting and control framework. Although this is a mixed tax role, mixed tax experience is not a pre-requisite, as training will be provided.
You will assist in preparing; the Reporting Team submissions (Tax accounting workings), annual Corporation Tax submissions to HMRC and Corporation Tax quarterly instalment payment calculations. In this role you will also be involved in the completion and submission of the Group’s UK VAT returns, Air Passenger Duty returns and will coordinate the submission of the European VAT returns with our external advisors. To be successful, you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor (ACA and/or CTA), have experience in a professional tax role, have strong communication skills and be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data. Although this is a mixed tax role, mixed tax experience is not a pre-requisite, as training will be provided. You will be able to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work constructively with others to reach team goals. Reporting to the Legal Claims Manager, the Legal Claims Executive will be responsible for processing, managing and handling Jet2holidays injury and illness claims, in order to minimise cost to the business.
You will read and assess legal claims and serious customer complaints where there may be a potential legal claim and liaise with internal teams and third party suppliers to fully investigate the points raised and follow these through to conclusion. Working closely with the company’s brokers, insurers and their loss adjusters, you will agree the best way forward on issues and pre-action claims. Liaising with our Customer Service Team, external Solicitors and Insurers in providing responses to our customers within the timeframe required by the industry regulations, is vital to the success of this role. In addition, you will work with our hoteliers, local agents and contractors to ensure that all claims are mitigated by reclaiming substantial contributions. The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of the claims handling process and of the Package Travel Regulations. You will undertake scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance and carry out pre-flight, daily and weekly checks of aircraft. In addition, you will assume responsibility of all documentation for aircraft under your control and be available at short notice to perform Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery. After a period of training, it is expected that the B1 Licensed Engineer will work on a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern. The successful candidate will be European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) B1 Qualified with experience working on commercial aircraft. It would be advantageous if you hold current approvals for B737 & B757 Aircraft and have a full UK driving license. In addition, you will provide management and control of Continued Airworthiness and Technical Performance by means of assessment and evaluation of Component Service Bulletins, Service Letters and other technical publications. You will be responsible for offering a service that is focused on selling through self-motivation, strong communications skills, excellent product knowledge and identifying customer needs. Building positive relationships is key to this role in order to proactively sell and gain a loyal base for repeat bookings. As a results driven self starter with a passion for travel, you will have worked within the Travel Industry and have good destination and product knowledge. In this exciting new role, you will support the Customer Insight Manager in delivering an industry leading customer insight programme which involves all areas of research, including analyzing and synthesizing data from different sources, dealing with external agencies, and creating analysis reports which inform business decision making. With over 377 routes and 70 destinations, continuous review of our existing airport charges, tracking increases/decreases and bench marking against competing airports is a key priority for this role. The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level with strong analytical skills and a proven ability in interpreting performance trends and large data sets. You will need to an advanced user of Excel to be considered for this position and previous experience of Tableau or other data visualisation tools would be advantageous. Exceptionally organised you will have good strategic, planning and development skills with the ability to organise your time effectively. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable discussing complex information with senior stakeholders across the business. Reporting to the Station Control Team, this role is responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient dispatching of our aircraft. Key responsibilities include -
Working in all weather conditions, this is a varied and fulfilling role with essential operational responsibility. This position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility to support the operation.
The successful candidate will already be demonstrating Role Model behaviours. Previous experience within a Ground Operations environment and an understanding of the technical aspects of the turnaround process is required and you will ideally have previous dispatch or turnaround supervisory experience. With a positive and conscientious approach, you will have strong teamwork skills, along with the ability to organise and prioritise effectively and ensure the safety of our customers, yourself and your team. For all our airside roles you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and pass a Medical, administered by the airport. Reporting to the Senior AMOS & Technical Records Manager, the Technical Data Controller is responsible for providing support to a range of Engineering Teams such as Reliability, Technical Services and Powerplant. These positions are instrumental in the review, analysis and interpretation of vital Airworthiness data such as Service Bulletins and Service letters, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the Jet2.com fleet of Aircraft. You will maintain fleet continued Airworthiness data through receiving and deciphering technical instruction and setting up airworthiness documentation within our Engineering software (AMOS). This will also include the compilation of accomplishment work instructions. The Technical Data Analyst will also carry out continuous analysis of all relevant industry data relating to Airworthiness, highlighting key considerations and contributing to the maintenance of regulatory requirements and Company policies. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in data monitoring within an Aviation or Engineering role, however candidates demonstrating strong technical or administration backgrounds from other industries may also be considered. You will have meticulous attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving, as well as the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
